Job Description:
Are you interested in science and business development? And do you have a master’s degree in molecular biology or similar study, and is it your second nature to identify and capitalize on new opportunities? Then you could be the person we are looking for! We offer a challenging job within a dynamic and ambitious company, where your role will be to drive the company’s growth in Europe and Asia. You will be in direct contact with major players in e.g. the biopharma and biotech industry, marrying their drug development needs with our superior technologies to create high-value alliances and deals. This role primarily focuses on account management and strategic collaboration with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and build new opportunities with new customers to grow our service offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively identify and target potential business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, technological advancements and customer needs to drive strategic decision-making and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and investors.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and pitches to prospective clients, showcasing the value and unique selling points of our mRNA-centred solutions.
  • Drafting and negotiation of agreements (NDA/MTA/MSA/Supply Agreements/ License agreements) including post-agreement management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and deliver superior customer experience
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Achieve annual revenue targets, track sales performance, provide regular reports, and contribute to sales forecasting activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of your customer interactions in our CRM database
  • Travelling several times per year to conferences and exhibitions
  • Perform other functions and duties as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in (molecular) biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or related function in a CRO or CDMO with a proven track record and established network within the biotech, pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of mRNA, genetic therapeutics, and the broader life sciences industry, or willingness to learn.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Fluent and professional English level. Fluent in a second or third language is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and translate them into actionable business strategies.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, with a proven ability to meet or exceed (sales) targets.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Enthusiastic, independent, self-directing team player with a can-do mentality.
