Privacy Notice
This privacy notice addresses the Processing of Personal Data by RiboPro B.V. (hereinafter: ‘RiboPro’, ‘we’ and ‘our’) in relation to its website visitors, customers, collaborators, investors, grant providers, (future) employees, business partners, suppliers, contractors, advisors, and other third parties. RiboPro acts as a Controller in relation to the Processing of Personal Data described in this privacy notice.
Definitions
In this privacy notice, we will use the following terminology:
Personal Data: any information that can directly or indirectly identify you.
Controller: the natural or legal person that determines the means and purposes of the Processing.
Process / Processing: any action with Personal Data, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, erasure, or destruction.
Purpose: the reason(s) for which Personal Data is Processed.
GDPR: the General Data Protection Regulation; the legislation applicable to any Processing of Personal Data by RiboPro.
Processing activities
RiboPro Processes Personal Data for the Purposes described hereinafter. In relation to these purposes, RiboPro determines means and Purposes. This means that RiboPro determines why, how and for how long the Personal Data are Processed. Because of this, RiboPro qualifies as the Controller. The GDPR only allows RiboPro to Process Personal Data if we can apply a legal basis, specified in the GDPR, to each Processing Purpose. Hereinafter, we will explain this in more detail.
Contact forms
(legal basis: legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f) GDPR))
We Process notification and communication data to respond to your email requests.
For this purpose, we process the following data:
• Email address
• Your first and last name
• Date and time of contact
• Any other information that you provide in your e-mail.
We will retain your Personal Data for this purpose until we have fulfilled your request, or until there is no further reason for follow-up on your e-mail. We will verify this regularly. If we have a standing partner relationship with you, we will retain your data until this relationship has lapsed or until retention thereof will no longer be necessary.
Social Media Plug-ins
(legal basis: consent (article 6(1)(a) GDPR))
Through our website you can access our online presence on different social media platforms and share content on your own social networks. With these links you leave our website and are directly connected to our respective online presence on the respective social network operator. On these social media platforms each site’s respective terms of use and privacy policy apply. By clicking twice on a link to one of our presences in social networks, you consent to the transfer of your data to the operator of the respective social network and allow the operator of the social network to process the data in accordance with its privacy policy and terms of use. As far as we integrate plug-ins as links to our presence in social networks, the user leaves the website by clicking on the link and is immediately redirected to our online presence at the social media provider.
In the case of requests for information or the assertion of rights of data subject, please contact the social media provider, as they have access to the users’ data on their sites and can respond to those requests. Because RiboPro is also jointly responsible, users may also contact us. We will forward that request on to the social media provider. Where provided by the social media providers, we have concluded appropriate data protection agreements (joint responsibility or processing) and, in the case of transfer to third countries outside the EU/EEA, we ensure that suitable guarantees are in place.
For this purpose, we process the following data:
• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referrer URL
• Time and date of access
• Your interaction with the plug-in (e.g., likes, shares, comments)
We will retain your Personal Data for this purpose as long as necessary to fulfil the intended interaction or until you withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the plug-in through our cookie settings or your browser settings.
Job applications
(legal basis: consent (article 6(1)(a) GDPR))
If you send us a job application, you agree to the processing of your personal data for the application process. We Process Personal Data as provided by you, including email addresses, and resumes with motivation letters from job applicants. We Process this Data to evaluate job applications.
We process the following job application data:
• First and last name
• E-mail address
• Phone number
• Resumé
• LinkedIn URL (optional)
We shall retain the data of unsuccessful candidates for 4 weeks after rejection. Relevant data of selected candidates shall be transferred to an employment file and all other application data will be deleted upon the signing of the employment agreement.
Customer Testimonials
(legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR))
We may collect and use customer testimonials about our products and services. These testimonials may include Personal Data such as your name, job title, company, and your feedback about our services.
For this purpose, we process the following data:
• First and last name
• Job title and company name
• Feedback or quote provided by you
We will retain your testimonial for as long as it remains relevant for our promotional purposes or until you withdraw your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, after which we will remove your testimonial from our website within a reasonable timeframe.
Legal purposes
(legal basis: legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f) GDPR))
Where necessary, we shall also Process any Personal Data related to the applications where these personal data are relevant with respect to objection procedures, appeals and complaints against decisions by RiboPro pertaining to applications. In this case, we will retain your personal data until the legal procedure with respect to the application has been finalized or, if longer, until we do not require retention thereof anymore under the terms of our liability insurance.
Additionally, we also Process Personal Data for the purpose of protecting our interest during legal procedures. We process this data to handle legal disputes, exercise or defend our legal rights. We shall retain this data until the decision of the highest court has become final, or if longer, until we are no longer required to retain the data under the terms of our liability insurance.
Website technical data and cookies

We process the following essential technical data for website functionality. This data includes:

We have balanced our interests against your rights and believe the Processing is proportionate given the technical necessity of these cookies and the measures we take to protect your Personal Data.
Who will Process / receive your Data?
RiboPro engage service providers (processors) for the Processing of Personal Data, with whom we conclude appropriate processing agreements to ensure that they handle your data confidentially and in compliance with the GDPR. These processors concern the following categories of service providers:
• website hosting
• CRM
• Invoicing
If you would like to receive a list of service providers engaged by RiboPro to Process Personal Data on our behalf, please let us know and we will provide an up-to-date list.
In addition to service providers, RiboPro collaborates with various partners on projects. Who will receive your Data will depend on the type of research that is conducted. We will inform you of the collaboration and the further processing of your Personal Data separately if your application is approved.
Transfers
We do not transfer your Personal Data to recipients outside the European Economic Area (EEA). All data processing activities take place within the EEA, ensuring compliance with European data protection standards.

1. The right to be informed.
Under the GDPR you have the right to be informed. We fulfil this obligation primarily via this privacy notice but would be happy to inform you in an additional manner.
2. The right of access
You have the right to obtain information about Personal Data that we hold concerning you and to receive a copy thereof.
3. The right to rectify any incorrections of Data
You have the right to amend information if we hold incorrect or incomplete Personal Data concerning you. This includes the right to provide us with an updated curriculum vitae.
4. The right to withdraw consent
Where the Processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not impact the lawfulness of any Processing based on that consent prior to the withdrawal.
Please note that if we also Process your Personal Data for another purpose subject to another legal basis, we are permitted to continue the Processing of the Personal Data for that other purpose.
5. The right of erasure
You have the right to request that we delete Personal Data concerning you if:
a. you feel that the Processing is no longer necessary in relation to the processing purposes described in the foregoing,
b. you withdraw your consent,
c. the Personal Data have been unlawfully Processed, or
d. deletion is required in light of a legal obligation that RiboPro is subject to.
6. The right to restrict the Processing.
You have the right to request restricting of Personal Data concerning you when:
a. You contest the accuracy of the Personal Data;
b. The Processing is unlawful, but you do not wish us to delete the Personal Data;
c. You require the Personal Data for the establishment, exercise, or defence of a legal claim in a situation where RiboPro has no further purpose for the Processing;
d. Or we are verifying whether we can comply with your objection to the Processing.
7. The right to object
You have the right to object against Processing where such Processing is based on our legitimate interest. Where you object to such Processing, we will no longer Process the Personal Data subject to that legal basis, except if we can demonstrate compelling legal grounds for the Processing which override your interests and rights and freedoms or where the Processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
8. The right to data portability
You have the right to have Personal Data that you have provided to us transferred to another party at your request.
Profiling
We do not use your Personal Data for automated decision making nor for profiling.
Necessity of Provision of Personal Data:
The Processing of Personal Data is necessary for applications, applying for positions, or receiving our communications. We limit data Processing to what is minimally needed for the stated purposes. You are however not legally or contractually required to provide any Personal Data to us. However, if you wish to be considered for participation in a project based on an application, the provision of your data will be required.
Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you have concerns about our handling of Personal Data concerning you. For the Netherlands, the ‘Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens’ acts as the supervisory authority.
